To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter to recommend Mrs. Lopez as a teacher in your school district. My acquaintance with Mrs. Lopez began when I hired her as a tutor for my son when he started second grade.
I feel that Mrs. Lopez would be a valuable asset to your school. Mrs. Lopez is a consummate professional who provided instruction that was engaging and developmentally appropriate for my son’s learning. A specific example of her ability to create lessons that engage the student was when my son started learning how to count money. Mrs. Lopez created a lesson that incorporated counting money and shopping that my son had so much fun doing that he didn’t even realize he was learning also. That is just one of the ways Mrs. Lopez was able to create a fun learning environment for my son that resulted in an effective environment for learning.
Mrs. Lopez is also extremely thorough in the records she keeps. For every tutoring session she kept a written record of what was taught, what was learned, how my son performed, and what the next step should be.
In conclusion I would just like to state that Mrs. Lopez is a teacher that is thoughtful, reflective, and committed to life-long learning. It has been a pleasure having her help my son, and I highly recommend her for a teaching position.
Sincerely,
John Johnson
