Sample Director of Marketing Communications Cover Letter
I am forwarding my resume in response to a job posting for a Director of Marketing Communications.
For the past 10 years, I have held executive positions in the areas of
ebusiness, marketing, brand and product management for Fortune 500
companies. I have a successful history in developing end-to-end business
strategies and leading their implementation including developing the
concept, defining comprehensive requirements (operations, technical,
marketing, sales), developing and executing a well defined project plan,
and launching marketing/advertising campaigns. I have a proven track record
in executing large and complicated projects with clear-cut financial
results.
Most recently, I directed eBusiness/eCommerce efforts for a GE Capital
company where I lead the development of a front-end web enabled order
management system for a proprietary B2B software application. Prior to GE,
I was a Vice President at Great Western Bank ($50 billion dollar in assets)
and Washington Mutual (over $90 billion in assets) where I created the
overall product line, brand and marketing strategy for a new business
banking line of products which generated $3MM in new fee income and a 55%
increase in account growth in the first year. Thereafter, I created a new
credit card product line, brand and marketing plan for the bank resulting
in a 650% increase in sustainable quarterly fee income and a 38% increase
in new accounts. I also initiated and lead their electronic banking
strategy.
I would like to have the opportunity to speak with someone further about my
background. I feel confident I can contribute immediately to your
continuing success in a marketplace that requires unceasing commitment,
energy, and enthusiasm on the part of its management team. At your
convenience, I can be reached at ( ).
Thank you and I look forward to talking to you.
Best Regards,
