Dear Bishop McKee,
I want to thank you for your willingness to take time out of your busy day on December 19, 2013 to meet with me and my husband. I really enjoyed speaking with you about a possible appointment.
As you may have heard my husband Philip Wingeier-Rayo accepted the job position at Perkins Seminary as the Director of the Mexican-American Program, Hispanic Latino/Latina Ministries, and Director of the Regional Course Studies. This is still not public, but we are moving ahead as a family to move to Dallas this summer.
Therefore, I respectfully request you to consider me for an appointment within commuting distance from Perkins Theological Seminary. As I mentioned during our conversation, I have a background in evangelism, discipleship and leadership training with experience in planting Spanish-speaking churches. I am an ordained elder in the Western North Carolina Conference, but I also served churches as a missionary in Cuba and Mexico. I am attaching my up-to-date resume for you to be aware of my educational background, skills and my work related experiences.
It is my desire to serve a church in the Dallas area with a contemporary worship style (or in transition to develop one) where my bilingual ability, evangelism, discipleship and leadership training can be useful. But, I am open to any appointment or ministry where God can use me and my gifts.
I expect to have an interview with my Bishop Larry M. Goodpaster hopefully this month to let him know of this move. I will let you know as soon as I do so.
Again, I appreciate your time and consideration for this exciting opportunity. Please let me know if I can provide you with any further information about my background or qualifications. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
In Christ,
Robert Williams
