This question is not asked to find out what your weaknesses are, like so many applicants believe. Instead, the interviewer is trying to determine if you realize you have areas that need to be improved and whether or not you’re willing to work on them. Tell the interviewer about how your weakness impacted a job in the past and what steps you have taken to make improvements so it will never happen again. This type of answer will show that you are both aware of your weaknesses and that you’re working on ways to improve and overcome them.
