1. What goes in the header of a trainer resume?
Think of your header as your introduction to the recruiter. When you introduce yourself to someone new, what do you tell them first? Your name! Make sure your full name appears clearly in your header. Also, since your goal is for the recruiter or hiring manager to contact you, you need to provide a way to do so. Include your professional-sounding email address and phone number with area code. Your mailing address isn’t essential, though you may choose to give your city and state. 2. What do you put on a trainer resume for your first job?
You should generally list your jobs in reverse chronological order, with your newest or current position listed first, as shown on our trainer resume sample. This allows the recruiter to quickly and easily see your most recent work. There are only a few exceptions to this rule. For example, if you’re currently at a temporary or seasonal job unrelated to training, you may want to title your job section “relevant work experience” and move unrelated work to a separate section below it.
3. How do you list education on a trainer resume?
You should organize the education section of your resume much like your experience section, in reverse chronological order. Place your most recent degree or certification at the top. Ideally, this is also your highest level of training. Include higher education after high school. There’s no need to give high school or GPA information, and you can also leave off individual courses or training that didn’t go toward a degree or certificate and don’t add to your qualifications. 4. How do you write about hobbies on your resume?
You’re never required to include hobbies on your resume. In fact, if document real estate is at a premium, you want to leave hobbies off in favor of your summary, skills, experience, and education sections. However, if you have the room, you may want to add hobbies, especially if they’re relevant to training others or a large part of your life.
