Cover Letter Text
Dear Mr. Kinkaid,
I was excited to see the job opening for a junior soccer referee at the Springfield Hills Community Center. I feel that my extensive background in the sport of soccer and my ability to work with children make me an ideal candidate for this position. As a former soccer player and coach, as well as a mother, I have all of the necessary qualifications to be a great junior soccer referee in your league. I have participated in all levels of soccer from elementary school through the Division III collegiate level. I even coached my recreational adult soccer team in Springfield Hills after graduating from college. Since my three children have all played in the Springfield Hills junior soccer league, I am familiar with the rules and procedures of the game and the league structure. As a mother, I have the experience and patience to work with children and to provide a firm but friendly voice as a referee.I know that being a referee at the junior soccer level takes more than just knowing the rules of the game. Since I have interacted with both children and soccer players my entire life, I can bring that experience to the field as a referee. Thank you for your time, I hope to hear from you soon about becoming a referee for the upcoming fall schedule.
