Many job applicants neglect to even include a cover letter in their application. This is often a mistake because even if an additional letter is not asked for in the job description, you want to send one so you can show a hiring manager why you should work at this particular company. The document you send needs to contain relevant information, so always relate it back to the initial job description. Cover Letter Text
Dear Mariah Orwell,
Leadership skills and the ability to multitask are some of the most important qualities that a customer service supervisor can possess, in my opinion. These are skills I fostered in myself while working for the past three years at Superior Cable Industries, and these are skills I hope to put to good use at your company. Being a leader does not mean always doing everything on my own. It means giving my team the tools they need in order to succeed on their own. While working at Superior Cable Industries, I spoke with my employer about setting up a training program that would require new hires to spend a couple weeks training with me before actually allowing them to interact with customers. Not only did this give our employees better customer service skills, but it also developed a strong bond between myself and the workers. In addition to running this training program, I also had a lot on my plate at any given time. Through this, I learned how to prioritize tasks so that nothing was ever forgotten. I have demonstrated my ability to go above and beyond my normal job description time and time again, and I would be happy to review my employment history with you in greater detail. Thank you for taking the time to consider my application, and I hope to hear from you in the near future.
Sincerely,
John Doe
